Patients

Every patient you can see, how to find one, and how a new patient is added to your practice's files.

In SideClick: Patients

Patients lists the patients you can see. Search by name or file number, and open a patient to see their record.

A label says why a patient is on your list when they are not simply yours:

  • Covering for: you are covering for a colleague, and the patient is theirs.
  • A copy sent to you: another clinician sent you a copy of the record, on the patient's consent.
  • Handed over to you: the patient was handed over to you from another practice.
  • Assigned to you: you work with the patient as an assistant, under a supervising clinician.

Past your retention period marks a record that has been kept as long as its keeper chose; the keeper decides whether to keep or delete it.

Patients not yet seen here, inactive or deceased are tucked away at the end of the list; open them with Show more.

New patient adds a patient. Deleting a patient removes their records permanently.
