SideClick's founding caseload was speech-language pathology, and it shows in the grain of the product: goal-based episodes for long articulation and language journeys, notes structured for session-after-session continuity, and communication tooling for the parents and teachers who do half the therapy between your visits.

A week with SideClick
Monday is clinic: sessions from the day sheet, notes drafted by dictation or the opt-in assistant in the gaps, articulation goals ticking forward on each chart. Tuesday is schools — the mobile app works offline on locked-down school networks, and the morning's notes sync from the car park afterwards.
Midweek, home programs go out through the portal in plain language the assistant helped draft and you approved; two parents send back questions that land on their children's charts, not your personal inbox. A caseload of minors sets the privacy bar
Most SLP records are children's records, and a child cannot weigh a privacy trade-off — the practice holds that duty entirely. SideClick's answer is to keep those records off vendor infrastructure altogether: encrypted on the practice's own machines, synced (if at all) through a relay that only ever carries ciphertext. A parent asking "where does my child's file live?" gets an answer with a street address, not a data-centre region.
Questions, answered
Is SideClick suitable for school-based SLP work?
Yes. The mobile app carries the day sheet, charts and notes into schools, works offline on restricted networks, and syncs when you're back in coverage. Reports for schools export as PDFs from the same record.
Can parents receive and respond to home programs?
On Portal editions, yes: home programs go out through the patient portal in plain language, and parent replies land on the child's chart as secure messages rather than in your personal email.
Does SideClick have SLP-specific note templates?
Notes use the SOAP structure with your episode goals in view, which fits articulation, language, fluency and AAC work alike. There is no separate template pack to buy — and we would rather say so than imply one exists.
How does dictation handle a talking-heavy job?
Dictation is transcribed on your own hardware and the audio is never persisted. Draft the note by voice between sessions, edit, sign. Nothing you or a client said reaches a cloud service.
