Documentation where the session happened
The alternative to writing the note at the kitchen table is reconstructing it at 9 pm, and every mobile clinician knows which one produces the better record. The mobile app puts the day sheet, the chart and the note in your hand during the visit; photo capture attaches what you saw — the equipment setup, the home hazard, the wound — to the record on the spot.

How a visit day actually runs
The day sheet loads before you leave coverage. Visit one has WiFi, visit two is a farm with none — the workflow is identical, because the app is local-first and queues everything. Lunch in town syncs the morning; the clinic desktop has your notes before you do your afternoon school run. Does SideClick work with no signal at a home visit?
Fully. Charts you need are on the device, notes and photos queue locally, and sync merges the day when coverage returns. No part of the visit workflow requires a connection.
What exactly happens if my phone is lost on the road?
Mark it lost from any of your other devices: its access ends immediately, and the data on the phone was encrypted at rest all along. It is an inconvenience with a checklist, not a breach by default.
Can I run a fully mobile practice with no clinic desktop?
The mobile app is a companion surface — full practice administration (seats, billing, complete records management) lives in the desktop app. Most mobile practices run a laptop as the base machine and the phone in the field.
