In SideClick: Care plans → Referrals
Referrals lists every referral with its reason, its status, the receiving organisation, the referring practitioner, and the date it was sent. The screen is reached from Care Plans.
Compose referral writes one: choose the patient and the care plan it belongs to, the referring practitioner, the receiving organisation and the reason. A patient without a care plan needs one first. Create draft saves it as a draft.
A referral moves through a fixed order. Send marks it sent; the receiver's answer is recorded with Accepted or Declined; an accepted referral is marked Completed when it is done. Each step is a button on the referral's line, and only the steps open to it are shown.
A referral here is the practice's record of what was sent and how it was answered. The referral itself reaches the receiving organisation by whatever means you use.
