What it shows follows what you are in the practice. A clinician reads their patients' records, writes notes and sessions, and books; a front desk or a bookkeeper sees patients, the diary and messages, never notes. Which notes you see follows the practice's own-notes setting, and only your own until the browser knows it. New patients, intake, invoices, exports, backups and the AI features need the computer: the AI runs on the computer and nowhere else.
The browser locks as a computer does: after a time without activity, when the computer sleeps, and when you choose Lock now. Reloading the page or opening a new tab starts locked too. Unlock with your SideClick password; a wrong password waits a growing while and never erases anything. While it is locked, nothing it holds can be opened, even from the browser's own storage.
On a shared or public computer, tick This is a shared or public computer when you sign in. Nothing then stays in the browser: closing or reloading the tab signs you out, and changes not yet sent are lost. Signing out also removes the browser from your account. A tab closed without signing out stays on Settings → Your devices until you remove it there.
Installing it as an app, from the browser's menu, lets it open on its own and work offline.
