Delete your account

What deleting your account removes, what stays, when it happens, and what can stop it.

In SideClick: Settings → Your devices → Delete your account

Delete your account deletes your SideClick account and the copies you hold on the sync server. It cannot be undone.

What is deleted:

  • Your copies on the sync server: a copy you took when you left a practice, a copy sent to you, and anything only you held.
  • Every device of yours, signed out and erasing the app's data when it next connects; what a device had not yet sent is lost with it.
  • Your seat and subscription; a seat handed to you goes back to whoever pays for it.

What stays: entries you wrote in a practice's records stay that practice's, kept as long as its retention period says, and our purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Export the records that are yours to keep first; on a computer, Export my records opens Backup & Recovery. A subscription bought on the website is cancelled for you and runs to the end of the paid period. One billed by Apple keeps running until you cancel it in the App Store, so do that first.

In 30 days is recommended: nothing changes until then, you can cancel on Your devices, and we email you on the day. Now deletes at once, and this device erases the app's data as soon as the sync server confirms it. Type your password and the word DELETE, then Delete my account.

Two things stop a deletion: being the only owner of a practice that still has other members — make someone else an owner on Practice and people first — and seats you pay for still held by others, which you take back on Your seat first.
