In SideClick: Settings → Your seat
Your seat shows what your account may do, on every device: a free trial or a subscription, its edition — SideClick Solo or SideClick Practice — its status, its clinician seats with the free seats for a front desk or bookkeeper that come with them, the devices it covers, who pays for your seat (you, or your practice when a seat was handed to you with your invitation), and when the trial ends or the subscription renews or ends.
A seat belongs to a person and follows them into every practice they belong to. Each seat covers 5 devices, 3 of them computers. Buy or change seats on the website: during the trial, Buy now keeps everything you have entered on the same account, and Buy or change seats sits under How seats work. A seat reaches this computer at its next sign-in.
Your existing records are never locked. Whatever the state of your seat, you can read, edit, export and back up everything. When your trial has ended, adding new records needs a seat. When a subscription has ended, you can still add records; while it is ended or suspended, syncing and the patient portal pause until it is renewed or lifted. After a subscription ends, your records stay on the sync server, read-only, for 90 days: sign in to read or export them. Then the server copy is deleted, and this computer keeps what is on it.
If you pay for seats, Seats on your subscription lists each clinician seat and each free seat with who holds it. Only someone whose every role is front desk or bookkeeper may hold a free seat. Take back frees a seat someone else holds; they keep their account and fall back to their own trial or subscription. Storage used counts the entries, photos and recordings your holders keep on the sync server.
Your devices opens the list of devices signed in to your account.
