In SideClick: Front desk kiosk
The front-desk kiosk lets a patient fill in forms on this computer at reception. It runs entirely on this computer and is in every edition. It is not the remote patient portal — that is the separate website patients sign in to from home.
Start a patient hand-off: choose the patient, tick the forms to complete — the outcome questionnaires your practice uses — and, if you want, Ask about AI-assistance consent. Start kiosk session opens the hand-off full screen.
Hand the computer to the patient. After Begin, each questionnaire comes in turn: the patient rates every item, Submit records the answers, encrypted on this device, and the computed score, and Skip moves on without one. The consent question comes last if you included it, and the answer is recorded on the patient's consent as given at the kiosk.
All done — thank you shows the scores, and Return to staff (locks this app) locks SideClick at once. Because the computer has just left staff hands, only the password unlocks it — not Touch ID or Windows Hello — and after unlocking you are back on the setup card.
The kiosk is a computer screen only; a phone or browser never shows it. A practice that does not use it can take it out of the menu under Settings → Practice, with Show the front-desk kiosk in the menu.
Below the setup card the screen says whether your seat includes the remote patient portal, a Practice edition feature, and where to invite a patient from.
