Offline, waiting to send, and a stale backup

What the app says when it cannot reach the sync server, what is still waiting to go, and when a backup is overdue.

SideClick works offline on every device. What you write is sealed on the device and sent to the sync server when it can be.

On a phone, tablet or in the browser, a banner says Offline — changes will sync when connected while the device has no connection. A pill in the header counts what is still to go — so many waiting to send — and says All records on the server once nothing is. Tap it for the list. An entry the server refused is counted apart, as could not be sent; it stays on the device and is not sent again on its own.

On a computer the status bar shows the same: All records on the server, entries waiting to send, Offline with what is waiting, entries that could not be sent, or Sync paused — no active seat. A backlog drains by itself once the server answers.

A device that goes too long without reaching the sync server erases its copy: your offline limit, set on Your devices. A browser that cleared its stored records fetches them again; offline changes it had not sent are lost.

On a computer, an administrator also sees a backup warning at the top of the screen: Last backup was so many days ago once the newest export is older than your threshold — 14 days unless you change it under Settings → Backup & Recovery, where zero turns it off — No backup has ever been made on this device, or Automatic backup is failing, with the reason. Back up now opens the backup screen, and the warning clears itself after the next successful backup.
