A subscription seat has an end date. In its last 14 days a warning at the top of the screen says your seat ends in so many days; renewing keeps sync and the portal running.
When the seat ends, your sealed copy stays on the sync server, read-only, for 90 days, and the line counts them down. During them the sync server answers what you read and lets every device of yours pull what it holds, and you can export — but it refuses anything that adds: nothing new syncs, and renewing is what keeps adding. Your seat shows Ended — your records are kept on the sync server, read-only, with the days.
After those days the server deletes the copies only your rights stood behind — the entries, media and keys nobody else holds. Entries you wrote in a practice's files stay the practice's. The status bar then says Sync paused — no active seat, and Your seat says Expired.
This computer keeps what is on it. Reading, editing, amending, signing and co-signing, recording payments, cancelling, exporting and restoring all work without a seat; only creating new records waits for one.
A suspended seat — after a refund or a chargeback, for example — pauses sync and the portal at once, with the same floor.
Renewing, or a seat handed to you by invitation, picks up where you were while the copy is still there. Settings → Your seat links to the website.
