Signed out, removed, lost or too long offline

Which of these only signs a device out, which erase its copy, and what the screen asks for next.

Every device of yours checks its standing with the sync server regularly.

Signed out everywhere — you chose Sign out everywhere, set a new password, or marked a device of yours as lost. Nothing is erased. A computer shows Signed out everywhere over the screen with Sign in again; a phone, tablet or browser goes to the sign-in screen, which says so. Anything not yet sent is kept and sent after the next sign-in. After a loss the next step is Set a new password.

Removed — you chose Remove for this device on Your devices. The app erases its data on it, with any entries not yet sent, and the sign-in screen says why; sign in again to set it up afresh. Marked as lost — the device is blocked at once, and if it ever connects again it erases itself the same way. Too long offline — the device went past your offline limit without reaching the sync server, so it erased its data; what reached the server is still there.

Your password was changed on another device — a computer that still opens with the previous password asks for it once, with Update this computer, or offers to erase this computer and rebuild it from the sync server, losing what was not yet sent.

The server does not recognise this device right now — said, never acted on: nothing is deleted, and the app keeps checking. If it goes on, sign in again, or on a computer start over.

Update SideClick to carry on — the sync server needs a newer version. Everything on the device can still be read; nothing is sent or received until then.
