A change to the Terms

When our Terms change, you are told in advance and asked to review and accept; a paying customer is never cut off.

When the Terms of Service and EULA, the Data Processing Agreement or a practice's Business Associate Agreement change, you are emailed in advance and a line appears at the top of the screen on every device — Our Terms of Service and EULA change on a date — with Review and accept. The line stays until you decide. The decision is kept on your account, so one answer on any device is enough; made offline, it is sent later.

Review and accept opens what changes: a plain summary, when it applies to you — from a date for everyone, from your renewal, or only when you accept — any clauses that bind only if you tick them, and the full document. Then Accept, or I don't agree.

I don't agree cancels nothing. A payer may stay on the current terms until their renewal, leave now with a refund of the unused part of the period, or send a message to support. A member of a practice is told it is the practice owner's decision, and the payer is let know of their concern.

Nobody who pays is ever cut off for not answering: continuing to use SideClick after the notice counts as accepting, except for the tick-box clauses.

On a trial the line offers Remind me tomorrow, up to the grace days after the change; the dialog names the last day. After it, without an acceptance, the sync server takes nothing new: adding patients, notes, appointments and invoices stops, and so does syncing. Everything you have stays open — reading, editing, amending, signing, payments, cancelling, exporting and restoring. Accepting ends it at once.
