Everyone who signs in holds a seat: a trial, a subscription of your own, or a seat handed to you by a practice or clinic owner's invitation — a clinician seat, or a free seat for a front desk or bookkeeper. No seat is what Your seat shows when your account holds none, for example after you left a practice whose seat you used and your own trial had ended.
A line at the top of the screen says so, and Your seat opens the details. On a phone or tablet it says that seats are managed from a computer or at app.sideclick.io, not there. A computer may instead say Evaluating SideClick, with days left: its own first days, fully featured.
Without a seat, creating new records stops: new patients, session notes, appointments, invoices and practitioner accounts. Each screen says Evaluation ended before you start, and the save is refused. Nothing else changes: existing records stay readable and editable, notes can be amended, signed and co-signed, appointments viewed, changed and cancelled, payments recorded, and exports and backups made. Sync and the portal need a seat, so the status bar says Sync paused.
A seat ends it: a subscription bought on the website, or an invitation that hands you one. Settings → Your seat links to the website.
