Creating your account starts a free trial of every feature on every device. A line at the top of the screen counts it down — Trial, with the days left — and Your seat opens the details. In its last 14 days the line becomes a warning that your trial ends in so many days.
When the trial ends, the line says Your trial has ended. From then on, creating new records needs a seat: new patients, session notes, appointments, invoices and practitioner accounts. Each of those screens says so before you start, and the save is refused without one.
Nothing you have is locked. You can still read, edit, amend, sign and co-sign notes, record payments, cancel appointments, export and restore. The sync server still answers what you read.
A seat ends it: a subscription bought on the website, or a seat handed to you by invitation to a practice or clinic. Settings → Your seat shows where you stand and links to the website.
If you bought SideClick with the same email, the subscription replaces the trial as soon as the email address is confirmed.
