In SideClick: Patients → a patient → a session
A session starts from the patient's record. The header shows the session's date; a note started on a later day says so, with both dates. Start session runs a timer, Pause holds it, and Stop & record saves the time to the session.
Raw Notes on the left takes what you observed, typed or dictated. The microphone appears only where dictation is available on this computer, and dictation is English-only for now. Generate SOAP turns the raw notes into a draft with the on-device AI: it needs a model under Model Setup and the patient's consent to AI note generation, and asks for that consent if it is missing. What the AI will see shows the exact context the model is given. Where the practice has AI switched off, none of this appears.
The draft on the right follows the framework you choose, SOAP, DAP, NDIS or GIRP, and switching keeps what you wrote. Undo and Redo work as usual. Suggested goal progress can read measurements out of the note; each is saved to a goal only when you confirm it.
Save Draft keeps the note; it is also saved on its own a short while after your last change. Review & Sign shows the note, a few things to check before signing, which are suggestions only, and your confirmation that you reviewed it. Sign Note signs it and opens the signed note.
An assistant sees Send for co-signature instead: the note waits for the supervising clinician.
On a phone or in the browser the note is written and saved here; signing, dictation and the AI wait for the computer.
